Skip the cards and chocolates this Valentine’s Day, instead provide a meal! Click here

Meals create an opportunity for our volunteers to support our residents in an affectionate way. When we gather with friends and family, food is nearly always involved.  Sharing a meal is a way to establish community and familiarity with others.  This Valentine’s Day Meal Challenge is an attempt to capture a “home and loved” feeling through the gift of meals.  Are you up to the challenge?

VALENTINE’S DAY MEAL CHALLENGE!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, let your love transcend! We love our residents and challenge all volunteers to do one of these three options between now and the end of February:

  • Commit to Sponsor and Serve* Dinner once a month for the next three months.
  • Commit to Sponsor and Serve* Dinner once in February, March, or April.
  • If you are unable to Sponsor and Serve* a Dinner, share this challenge and link below with a friend or your church.

If you have experience preparing meals for our shelter in the past or are new to the challenge, we are here to help you plan your next meal.  If you are one of our faithful monthly meal partners, we thank you from the bottom of our heart.

Click Here for a list of recipes to make this challenge easier.  Feel free to get creative, you are not bound to make one of these recipes!  Show your LOVE!

To sponsor a meal, we ask you to select a date that your family, friends, or church group will provide dinner for the residents at one of our shelters. Click here to sign up and to learn more, or contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Kami Barnes 513-392-2006. *Due to Covid, for everyone’s protection, we currently ask volunteers to drop off prepared meals only. We hope to have our volunteers back in person to serve meals again soon.

Happy Valentine’s Day,
